What We’re Looking For

We prioritise events that:

  • Attract visitors from outside the region

  • Encourage overnight stays

  • Deliver measurable economic impact

  • Promote Swan Hill as a place to visit, stay and explore

Events with a strong tourism focus will be given preference.

What Support Looks Like

Support may include:

  • Financial support for marketing and promotion

  • Inclusion in regional marketing campaigns

  • Promotion across Swan Hill Inc channels

  • Strategic advice on growing your event

Please note: Financial support is strictly allocated to marketing activities only.

How Funding Works

Funding is assessed based on the expected impact of your event, including:

  • Attendance

  • Visitor numbers

  • Overnight stays

A tiered funding model is used to guide support levels, with higher funding allocated to events that deliver greater regional benefit.

What You’ll Need to Provide

As part of your application, you’ll be asked to outline:

  • Expected attendance and visitor numbers

  • Where your audience is travelling from

  • How your event will be promoted

  • How you will measure success

Successful applicants must complete the Post Event Evaluation Form within 2 months of the event concluding. Future funding applications may not be considered until reporting requirements are completed.

Before You Apply

Make sure your event:

  • Aligns with promoting the Swan Hill region

  • Has a clear marketing plan

  • Can demonstrate visitor impact

Applications that do not meet these criteria are unlikely to be supported.
